1 08 2010

It’s finally finished! The project I’ve been working on for 2 months has finally reached completion! Woot woo! Here’s some photos:

Can’t wait to get Michael Dorn to autograph this when I meet him at Fan Expo at the end of the month!!

How very …crafty of you

29 06 2010

So here’s the deal. Got a BB message from my brother at the store (Winners), he tells me that they got some new Star Wars t-shirts in. With the intention of giving them to my boyfriend, I bought these:

Now, let me start by saying that I’m not typically a fan of Marc Ecko styles, its a little too ghetto for my taste. But its in the flavour of STAR WARS, so I can’t hate. Problem is, Graeme’s a little a lot on the conservative side and thusly hates the shirts- too tacky, too metallic, too much Japanese writing, etc. So I got out my sewing machine and did what I had to do…

New shirts for me, nothing for Graeme, beggars can’t be choosers and all that bullcrap. Anyone interested in detail shots can look here. Byee.

New year, new you

4 01 2010

Alritee its a new year and its time to get things around here in gear. It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged so I figured I’d get the ball rollin by posting up a list of crafty resolutions/goals/projects I hope to accomplish in the year 2010.

Cross-Stitch

  1. A tetris heart similiar to this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sansageek/3894007961/
  2. Star Wars characters based on Pixgraff’s perler bead works: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixgraff/sets/72157620672548257/ and RedHerring1Up’s R2-D2: http://www.flickr.com/photos/redherring1up/3320831631/
  3. Mini Star Wars characters to put in one of those frames with all the tiny collage type spots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joelwintersteller/3245162826/

Embroidery

  1. Embroider something with some kind of peacock or peacock feather on it. Haven’t worked out the details as of yet.
  2. Some kind of dinosaur-inspired embroidery would be awesome.
  3. Qwantz’s T-Rex on a pillow
  4. I want to complete like 5-10 quilt blocks for my Matthew Good Quilt. I haven’t worked on it in awhile, so yeah.
  5. A Natalie Dee comic turned into an embroidered something for Diana

Sewing

  1. Jedi robes
  2. An Imperial Apron, because this blew my mind and I want one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bearandbird/3721069787/

So yeah, we’ll see how this all goes down. I gotta go to work in about an hour so that’s all I’ll write for today. Maybe I’ll get around to writing another post about my holidays. We’ll see.
